Work as a team

An AddaxAI bundle is a folder with your labels, corrections and counts for some or all deployments of a project. Another AddaxAI opens it. Use it to continue on another computer, or to let team members check part of the photos and send their work back.

Export a bundle​

  1. Open the project, go to Export and press "Export…" next to "AddaxAI bundle".
  2. Pick the deployments. For a team member, pick only their deployments.
  3. Choose the contents:
    • "Data only" is small. The photos must already be on the other computer, where you reconnect each folder once.
    • "With photos and videos" copies the deployment folders into the bundle, so it opens anywhere. It is as large as those folders.
  4. Pick a folder under "Save in" and press Start.

You get a folder named after the project, ending in .addaxai-bundle. Copy it to the other computer.

Import a bundle​

  1. On the other computer, choose File > Import bundle.
  2. Pick the folder that ends in .addaxai-bundle. AddaxAI shows what it will add.
  3. Press Import.

The first import creates the project. A later bundle of the same project adds to it. When a deployment is already there, you choose: replace it with the bundle's version, or leave it as it is. AddaxAI backs up the database before it imports.

Split the checking over a team​

  1. One person creates the project and runs the AI.
  2. They export a bundle for each team member, with only that person's deployments and the photos included.
  3. Each member imports their bundle, checks the labels, and exports a data-only bundle back.
  4. The lead imports those bundles and chooses "Replace".

Give each deployment to one person. An import replaces a deployment as a whole, so two people's work on the same deployment cannot be combined.

Good to know​

  • Keep a bundle with photos where it is after the import. The imported deployments use the photos inside it.
  • Save a bundle outside the camera folders it contains. AddaxAI refuses a folder inside one.
  • A bundle from a newer AddaxAI cannot be imported. Update first. A bundle from an older version is updated during the import.
  • You cannot import while an analysis is running.
  • To move every project at once, use a database backup. See moving to another computer.
